Tom.G will continue to brand his career with another volume of his ongoing mixtape series Skroll Muzik Vol. 8. Kush-N-Kupz 2, which is set to release on June 8.
“The skroll is like the strip that everybody in the hood hangs out on,” Tom explains. “It doesn’t just describe the bad things but also the good things that represent the hood as well…Skroll Muzik is a collection of my stories, my homies’ stories and things that me or someone around me has experienced.”
But Tom isn’t stopping there. Shortly following the mixtape, he will be releasing his highly anticipated album Street Preacha on the Fourth of July. The album features cameo verses from Future, Gucci Mane, Lil Boosie and Freeway, among other surprise guest appearances as well.
“You don’t have to be major to make it,” says Tom.G. “I just kicked the door in and I want to let people know how adamant I am about the indie grind. A lot of people in other areas know me from the club records, but it’s a lot more than that,” says Tom. “I have gained a lot of respect from the streets. You have to hit every aspect. I make sure to have music for everybody.”
