The entire $109 cost of the “Designer Plus” portrait session will be donated to the Justin Meyer Memorial Scholarship, which honors a Whitnall High School senior who was killed in October 2008. Two $1,500 scholarships are awarded annually to Whitnall students.
The late student, Justin Meyer, had his senior portraits taken at Gilbert Frenn Photography (http://www.frennphotography.com) in a “Designer Plus” session, just months before he died in a tragic car accident. He had been accepted to the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
“We remember what a joy it was to work with Justin Meyer, who was a smart, ambitious young man with a bright future,” said Gilbert Frenn, owner of Gilbert Frenn Photography. “We embrace this opportunity to help other Whitnall High School students pursue their dreams, and keep alive the memory of Justin Meyer and what he meant to so many people.”
The “Designer Plus” is a 60-minute portrait session. Students can wear up to four different outfits, and use as many of the studio’s wide variety of indoor and outdoor settings as they wish.
The photo session can be scheduled for any date between June and September 2012, but must be booked and paid for between May 22 and May 26.
The Justin Meyer Memorial Scholarships are awarded annually to two Whitnall High School students who have an identified learning disability, and who demonstrate the traits of loyalty, caring and respect that Meyer exemplified. He overcame a language learning disability to gain acceptance to college.
“Justin Meyer exemplified the very best in our young citizens,” Frenn said. “We are honored to support his scholarship and help other young adults find success, just as we know he would have.”
