House of Heroes Hosts Major Fundraiser To Support Veteran’s Home Repairs on Memorial Day in CT

May 15, 2012 - PRLog -- The Connecticut Chapter of House of Heroes, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free home repairs to military and public service veterans who cannot afford the repairs and/or are not physically capable of undertaking the repair work, has announced its Chapter Launch Event on Friday, May 25th at Signature Brand Factory, 409 Canal Street, Milldale (Southington) at 7:00pm.

The first House of Heroes construction projects for three separate veterans and their families have been identified, which will be completed by volunteers throughout Memorial Day weekend; these veterans reside in Hamden, Stratford and Meriden.  To meet the costs associated with these projects, House of Heroes has set financial goals of $20,000.

The cost of this event is only $50 per person with extended invitations to family, friends and business partners for an exciting evening of music, patriotic festivities and fundraising efforts for a worthy cause. Many veterans today find themselves on a difficult journey, and House of Heroes is here for them in their time of need.  House of Heroes provides essential home repair services which benefit the each individual veteran based on their situation. All of the work is accomplished through community volunteerism and all funding is provided through private and corporate donations.
