CARGA Bags have arrived in New Zealand

PRLog (Press Release) - May 15, 2012 - Carga was established in 2006 by Argentinean born Mauro Bianucci based on the desire to produce a unique range of bags narrowing the gap between architecture and fashion.
Originally trained as an architect at the University of Buenos Aires. Bianucci’s designs use materials and construction techniques from the architectural world to create stylish, high-end pieces.

The original collection was designed from industrial wool felt. Honouring the craftsmanship of Argentinean tanneries, a vegetable dyed ‘all-leather’ version soon followed. The ØW Collection (Zero Wastage) was added in 2010, bringing a new angle to the ‘sustainability’ agenda. Now, a sleeve collection for Apple products is being launched.
In the Felt and the Leather Collections, the main body of each bag is made from a single piece of material that, rather than being sewn, is assembled using aluminium rivets. The bags in the ØW Collection are made from single strips of material cut from side to side of a roll, without any further trimming.

The CARGA collection is batch-produced in a family-run workshop in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Each bag carries and metal disc embossed with its own serial number. The Carga brand is available in key cities including New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Barcelona, Paris and Auckland.
