St. Andrew's School Savannah Sends Four Students to Savannah Science Seminar

PRLog (Press Release) - May 14, 2012 - St. Andrew’s is pleased to announce that four rising juniors were selected to participate in the 2012-13 Savannah Science Seminar.  Andrew Adams, Mariel Colón-Leyva, Luke Emmoth and Dylan Hix were invited to join this exclusive, hands on program.
Approximately thirty of the best and brightest students in the region are selected each year to participate.  

The mission of the Savannah Science Seminar is to promote an understanding and appreciation for science through informative, participatory presentations and hands on workshops (HOWsessions) in the fields of engineering, technology, mathematics, and the medical practices, to motivated and highly qualified secondary school students in Savannah and Chatham/Effingham/Bryan County. Through these endeavors, the program encourages students to pursue careers in the science arena, and as they become professionally knowledgeable, strongly consider returning to the Savannah area to increase our community's ability to foster and enhance these professional practices.  

Led by a group of the community’s Science oriented business leaders, as well as University educators, the Savannah Science Seminar brings together outstanding seminar programs that have students working in teams on real world situations and problems in a host of science related fields.
