“In addition to the renowned Jazz & Blues melodies that have traditionally filled the air we are opening the event up to the local arts community. We are presenting them with a blank canvas in which they can demonstrate, educate and showcase their work” said Mike Hollemans of The Passion Group, the organization that is handling the logistics of the event.
We encouraged all mediums to participate including drawings, paintings, printmaking, photography, digital art, sculpture, installations, wood, glass, ceramics, fiber art, mixed media and video/film.
There will be no charge for artists who are just showcasing their talent. Anyone interested in selling their art at the festival will be subject to minimum fees. All interested artists must reach out to The Passion Group to discuss how to be included in the weekend festivities.
The Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation is a non-profit 501.c.3 corporation whose mission is to Preserve, Promote, and Perpetuate Jazz and Blues in the northern New Jersey shore region through Performance and Education.
