Moss Promotes Four to Executive Leadership Team

Four vice presidents on the Management Team have been promoted to senior vice presidents of Moss’ Executive Leadership Team.

May 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Moss & Associates, one of Florida’s largest construction management companies has promoted four team members, Brett Atkinson, Scott Desharnais, Mike Mazza and Andrew McAllister from vice presidents on the Management Team to senior vice presidents of Moss’ Executive Leadership Team.

Brett Atkinson’s diverse experience includes resort hotels, convention centers, cultural and performing arts centers, high rise residential facilities, office buildings, entertainment facilities, and casinos. His career has been accentuated with many landmark projects including the Miami Marlins Retractable Roof Ballpark, Nova Southeastern University’s Oceanographic Research Center and the Bank Atlantic Center, home of the Florida Panthers. Atkinson holds a Construction Management Degree from University of Florida.

Scott Desharnais has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry and has concentrated on fast-track methods for building complicated projects within strict schedule and budget guidelines. His extensive portfolio is equally balanced between private and public sectors and includes commercial, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and residential construction. Most recently, he led the team that built the University of Miami Biomedical Research Building. Desharnais holds a degree in Construction Management from Florida International University and is an active board member of the Chapman Partnership in Miami-Dade County.

Mike Mazza heads up Moss’ Orlando office and directs the company’s national Criminal Justice Division. He has 18 years experience in the sector and has completed 18 correctional projects totaling 18,000 inmate beds including a recent one million square-foot, multi-site expansion of the Palm Beach County Jail System. In addition to Mazza's criminal justice and public safety experience, he has completed office and hospitality projects throughout the United States and the Caribbean. Mazza holds a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University.

Andrew McAllister has 18 years of experience in the commercial construction industry with a major focus within the hospitality and marina sectors in the U.S. and Bahamas. McAllister’s notable projects include Seminole Coconut Creek Casino, Soho Beach House and Harrah’s Casino in New Orleans. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and holds a Bachelors of Design in Architecture and a Masters of Science in Building Construction.
