Patented in 2010, TV Eyes 3D Glasses are a unique new type of 3D glasses that don’t require 3D movies or 3DTVs. The glasses optically alter the different levels of sharpness and blurriness in regular movies into depth cues, using a process called “Depth of Field.” This creates a virtual depth map underneath the picture.
The increase in depth perception causes distances to look farther and spaces to look larger. People and objects in the picture stand out more from the background and look more three dimensional.
Instead of stereoscopic 3D, which shows an object from two slightly different angles. TV Eyes 3D glasses create a topographical sort of 3D, which builds up the picture by allowing the eyes to recognize different distances in the picture.
The process is optical, rather than electronic, so the glasses can be used on any TV or computer screen. There are no batteries, cables, or electronics needed. Since the movie itself is not altered, the entire audience does not have to wear glasses. Those wearing TV Eyes 3D glasses will see it in 3D while those without will see it in normal 2D.
TV Eyes 3D Glasses can make any 2D image look 3D, from movies to TV shows, to sports broadcasts, to video games, and even home movies.
Just put on the glasses and watch TV.
