AmeriPro Funding Home Loan Specialists Team Celebrates Memorial Day with Donations to Operation Mend

May 16, 2012 - PRLog -- The AmeriPro Funding Home Loan Specialists Team is proud of the servicemen and women in our military.   So many have given their lives to secure our freedoms, and so many more have been hurt in the line of duty.  In honor of these soldiers, our Team is delighted to announce the commitment of $100 per loan closed from May 1 through July 31st to Operation Mend.

Operation Mend is an amazing program for soldiers that have been wounded and disfigured in Iraq and Afghanistan.  In a partnership with Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), a leading burn and rehabilitation center in San Antonio, Texas, the V.A. Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, and UCLA Health System, Operation Mend was launched with a wounded warrior's facial reconstruction.

The program has since expanded in order to optimize healing of the body, mind, and spirit. In addition to plastic and reconstructive surgery, mental-health support (for warriors and their families), orthopaedic reconstruction for severely damaged limbs, urologic treatment, otolaryngological care, the examination and treatment of reproductive issues, repair of airways, and design of new prosthetic ears are provided.

In May, 2012, 61 of our brave military personnel will have procedures performed at no cost to them to repair damage to their bodies from IUDs and other incendiary devices they came into contact with while on active duty.  The costs associated for each soldier is around $500,000 which includes reconstructive surgery, physical and psychiatric/social rehabilitation, and many more healing treatments.

We have been impressed by the fine work being done at the UCLA Medical Center and affiliated hospitals to minimize the lasting scars of these wounds and restore the dignity and confidence of our wounded veterans. " explains AmeriPro Funding Branch Manager Mike Lesmeister.
