ePanic Button Presents Free Webinar on Suicide at Work

Webinar explores what is causing rise in workplace suicides and what can be done to prevent them

May 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Raleigh, NC – ePanic Button is presenting Suicide at Work, a free webinar on May 29 at 2:00 p.m. EST. The speaker is Johnny Lee, president of ePanic Button.

Attendees can register here: http://epanicbutton.com/webinar/

In 2010, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports there were 270 suicides in the workplace, the highest annual total ever reported.

“In some cases, it appears the workplace was simply a familiar environment to carry out suicide,” says Lee, “while in others, there was a purposeful intent to inflict emotional trauma on witnesses in the workplace.”

This webinar will review suicides in the workplace to identify common themes and possible prevention measures. A deeper look into the Bureau of Labor Statistics data will determine the demographics and industries of the victims, and highlight some recent cases from around the globe.

Webinar Takeaways:

+ Identify the warning signs of potential suicide
+ Outline intervention measures to provide personal assistance
+ Summarize available resources for human resources professionals, business owners and colleagues
