SharpView Mobile Video Recorders consist of powerful ruggedized units, built to EU rolling stock standards. Available as either network only video recorders or hybrid units capable of recording both IP and analogue video. All units are supplied with SharpView Manager Professional (security management software). SharpView systems are scalable providing solutions for unlimited numbers of cameras, recorders and any security devices (panic alarms, fire sensors, access control... etc) that requires integration with the CCTV.

Complying with MIL-STD-810 is available on request. Utilising the latest enterprise class Linux operating system, the recording engine used in SharpView mobile recorders exhibits the fastest storage and retrieval performance in the industry.
Units are supplied with 80GB internal storage as standard using automotive class 2.5” hard disk drives. Larger capacity hard disks are available on request. Storage is also possible to external USB disks or to Network Attached Storage (NAS) boxes. All units record network (IP) video of standard Compression formats including; M-JPEG, JPEG2000, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and H.264. Record up to 800 fps D1 MPEG4.

Video from most industry standard IP cameras, including multi-megapixel, High Definition CCTV cameras can be recorded. These include Arecont, Axis, Bosch, IQEye, JVC, Lumenera, Panasonic, Pelco, Samsung, Sanyo, Sony, UDP and any HTTP and RTSP source. Currently the SVR-04AR and SVR-08AR are available in 2 options, either with MPEG4 or JPEG2000 video compression boards. Each board provides full frame rate 25/30 fps PAL/NTSC compression at full D1 resolution for a single channel or at CIF resolution for 4 channels.
