PRLog (Press Release) - May 13, 2012 - Yaz Birth Control Pills helpline has been launched for women in the U.S and Canada with serious complications from Yaz. The helpline is answered by a female medical social worker and although they have relationships with experienced law firms this is not a law office. According to Lisa Spitzer MSW who runs the helpline "people appreciate speaking to someone other then a law firm that has a screener to fill out a form. This can be very unemotional and caring Mothers have lost daughters due to Yaz. Young women have ended up in emergency rooms. Yaz has a big emotional and medical effect on these women. Yaz has been shown to cause blood clots, Deep vein thrombosis, Heart attacks and Pulmonary embolism". When asked about the Bayer settlements Spitzer said, "there are so many drugs and medical devices hurting women. These companies need to be held accountable. I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg on Yaz, Yasmin and Ocella."
"I speak to young women and parents everyday with stories of a life cut short or an emergency room, many of these are college students far away from home"
"Apparently Yaz was given to minority groups as a birth control device by social services. It does not matter by who, these injuries are real". To contact the Yaz Helpline call 1 877 522-2123 for both the U.S and Canada. They help with all Yaz, Yasmin and Ocella Birth control pills.
