Born 2 Win Academic & Performing Arts Youth Academy Brings 2012 Summer Day Camp To Long Beach

PRLog (Press Release) - May 13, 2012 - May 12, 2012 – Long Beach, CA. – The BORN 2 WIN Academic & Performing Arts Youth Academy, B2W, serving Southern CA, is gearing up for a fun and engaging summer day camp program. B2W Summer Day Camp is now enrolling kid’s ages 5 to 10. Leadership Mentors-in-Training programs are available as well to High School Seniors currently enrolled in AP courses. B2W Day Camp runs from June 25th to August 31st and takes place in the beautiful Historical Building located in the heart of Downtown Long Beach (110 W. Ocean Blvd., Suite 15).

B2W Day Camp is designed to inspire kids through performing arts while engaging their minds academically throughout the summer months. BORN2WIN Youth Academy Co-Founder, Ameerah Alisande Massey states, “Studies show that children who do not engage their minds academically during the summer months are at a significant disadvantage the following school year. Our goal is to provide value to every family that crosses our path. One approach is to ensure that children who participate in the B2W Day Camp arrive prepared to compete and perform scholastically during the approaching school year”.

The B2W Day Camp operates from 9am – 4pm M-F with extended before and after instruction hours available to our hard working families.  During this 10 week intensive day camp our students will be introduced to Self-Esteem Enhancement Tools, Dance (hula ballet, jazz, tap, and ballroom), Art (visual, theater, and video), Writing (creative, auto-biographical, fiction/non-fiction), Computer Graphics, Organized Sports, Environmental Studies, Business Development, Academic Tutorials, Exciting Field Trips and much more. With more than 15 years of teaching and programming experience, the founders created a program design in which all instruction is taught age-appropriately, with children broken into individual age groups: 5 - 6year olds, 7 - 8year olds, and 9 -10 year olds. According to the American Camp Association (ACA), parents cite self-confidence and a safe place to build social skills as the most important reasons for sending their kids to summer camp.
