May 12, 2012 - PRLog -- When deciding to buy a radio control car for yourself or someone else it can be difficult to decide between an RC Monster, RC Truggy, RC Buggy, RC Car, Short Course Truck or Drift Car.

"we believe that driving radio control cars is an amazing hobby to indulge in whether it be just for fun, bonding with children or a way to relax after a hard day at work; we want to offer you as much support as possible to help you make the right decisions." said Aymen Salih the director of swiftrc.co.uk.

Let's start with RC Truggies, these vehicles are a cross between a monster truck and a buggy. Truggies are generally four wheel drives (4WD), however there are many two wheel drives (2WD) which tend to be much more cheaper and easier to repair. On the other hand with a 4WD you will have better handling and control. If you want to undertake off road racing then RC truggies are fantastic; especially 4WD. What makes them great RC vehicles is that they have the stability of monster trucks and the agility of Buggies.

Some of the great RC Truggies are:

The Thunder Tiger Phoenix ST II which is a 2WD and it has a strong, rigid and light frame; with retail Price of £114.99.

The ACME Raptor Brushed; which is a 4WD drive RC truggy that comes with massive wheels and high grip tyres, making this model great for on road or off road racing; Retail Price £104.95 (also available is brushless version for more speed).

Radio Control Buggies are very popular these days and they are fantastic for racing in harsh conditions. Most professional racers race 4WD Buggies as they can be extremely fast and great for winning on road and off road races.

Gas powered RC Buggies tend to be faster than electric powered, having said that brushless powered Buggies in small models are faster than nitro powered. Most 1/10 scales electric powered buggies can reach speeds of upto 30+ miles an hour with bigger scale i.e. 1/8 scale Gas powered RC buggies reaching over 40+ MPH.

For beginners we recommend electric (brushed) buggies as they require less maintenance. Some examples include ACME Bullet Brushed 4WD RC Buggy and the Thunder Tiger Phoenix 2WD Buggy.

RC Monster Trucks are popular amongst beginners and make amazing presents. Remote Control Monster Trucks can handle hard driving maneuvers and can be used over any surface or terrain (even to drive over your friends cars).

Monster Trucks are available in Nitro, Electric or Petrol powered; you can achieve monstrous performance with Monster Trucks especially Petrol Monster Trucks. Petrol Monster Trucks are better for professionals as they require more maintenance and are harder to handle than electric; a great petrol truck to consider is the ShengQi Monster Truck and for beginners check out the Himoto Lil Devil.

Short Course Trucks generally are built in 1/10 scale based on full scale trucks, they have similar characteristics and action as full scale trucks. Due to advancement in technology there have been an increase in the amount of RC Trucks available. Short Course Trucks are now available in 1/16 scale such as the ACME Brawler Brushless, 1/9 scale such as the ACME Tropper and also Nitro powered RC Short Course Trucks are available such as the Ansmann Racing Ruler.

RC Cars can be referred to as Drift RC Cars or Touring RC Cars. Drift RC Cars such as the popular HSP Flying Fish are equipped with low traction tyres to maintain over steering. Typically they are 1/10 scale, 4WD and Electric powered, perfect for off road racing. And Touring Cars are generally used for on road racing.
