May 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Don’t miss your last chance to see what critics have hailed a “dazzling spectacle”, “incredibly intense”, and “artfully performed”!

On Friday May 18th at 8:30 pm, the American Bolero Dance Company will present the final show of the highly successful 2012 Spring season of Tablao Flamenco™, its popular ongoing series of cabaret-style shows featuring live Flamenco and other styles of Spanish dance and music.  Under the direction of Artistic Director and Founder Gabriela Granados, Tablao Flamenco™ has served as a vehicle for the company to showcase some of the finest local and international talent, both renowned and up-and-coming.  Since its premiere four years ago, the series has garnered recognition and praise by both audience members and the media.  Its world-class dancers, singers and musicians have been described as “impressive”, with “outstanding skill”.

The season finale will feature a special appearance by flamenco dancer and choreographer, JUAN SIDDI.  As a young, powerful and passionate flamenco dancer, Mr. Siddi began performing in tablaos flamencos at the age of 15, and by 18, he was touring with professional dance companies and productions.  He has enjoyed a spectacular worldwide career, performing all over Europe, including at the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla and for His Majesty Juan Carlos of Spain, in the Middle East, and throughout the United States, where he has been an invited artist in the companies of Maria Benitez and La Tania.  In 2007, he founded his own company, Juan Siddi Flamenco Theatre in Santa Fe, NM, where he was honored with the 2011 Mayor’s Award for Artistic Excellence.

Mr. Siddi will share the stage with a superb cast of phenomenal performers that includes dancers GABRIELA GRANADOS and SARA ERDE, singers ALFONSO CID and AURORA REYES, guitarists BASILIO GEORGES and CRISTIAN PUIG, percussionist JOSÉ MORENO and the BALLET ESPAÑOL DE GABRIELA GRANADOS.

All performances in Tablao Flamenco™’s 2012 Spring season have been made possible, in part, by the Queens Council on the Arts, with public funding from the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program, and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
