The Swing Magic Revue is a musical variety revue that hearkens back to the classic supper club floor shows of the 1940s. It is a full evening variety revue with a compelling story and something for every taste! Set in post WWII Chicago, the show features hit swing music for the mid 20th Century, award-winning magic and illusion, and high energy swing dance. Songs include “It Don’t Mean A Thing” “In The Mood,” “Jump Jive & Wail,” “Blues In The Night” and many more hit songs from the mid 20th Century!
The Swing Magic Revue stars John Pyka as “Big Daddy Cool” Johnny Dellarocca, the larger than life king of swing who holds court at the infamous Club Roxy. The Swing Magic Revue also stars Brandy Sunshine, Sophia Prose and Crystal Starr as The Swing Kittens – the femme fatale singers and dancers of Club Roxy!
A Nashville resident, John Pyka (who also appears in the show as “Big Daddy Cool”) created the show that has toured nationally and even been produced off-Broadway in New York! “I’m excited to bring this show back to the Palace” says Pyka. “We performed at The Palace for a capacity crowd during the 2012 season and to return to what has become our home theater!”
