UroMed Partners With the SBA of Georgia to Offer a National Conference Scholarship Contest

PRLog (Press Release) - May 11, 2012 - In partnership with the Spina Bifida Association of Georgia [SBAG], the catheter and urological supply company UroMed Inc. is thrilled to announce a scholarship contest for Georgia residents that have a family member with spina bifida. UroMed’s donation was matched with an equal amount by SBAG to create a $3000 scholarship offered by SBAG to a local Georgia family for the purpose of attending the 2012 National Spina Bifida Conference this summer in Indianapolis, IN.  

“We’re honored to support the Spina Bifida Association with this donation, as we realize that people with Spina Bifida often experience financial hardship due to their medical expenses.  We hope our contribution to their conference scholarship fund will help the award winners in advancing their education and support resources through the knowledge and relationships they gain at the national conference,” says UroMed president Craig Stevens.

As an ongoing sponsor of SBA events nationwide, UroMed is a Bronze Level sponsor for the overall National Spina Bifida Conference, and also will be donating medical supplies to support the Kids’ Camp that takes place at the conference.  Additionally, UroMed contributes to a variety of regional SBA chapter events throughout the year nationwide.

To qualify for the SBAG conference scholarship, participants must be a member of SBAG, a legal resident of Georgia and at least 18 years of age.  To participate, you must submit your current database information to SBAG. The information must be emailed to sbag@spinabifidaga.org  or left on a voicemail or in person at 770-939-1044.  Once SBAG receives your information, they will put your name in the drawing.  This information must be received no later than May 18, 2012. Winners will be announced on May 20, 2012 at the SBAG Spring Fling Picnic in Alpharetta, Georgia.
