The new Moderate Message feature in the Mailtraq email server http://www.mailtraq.com works on the main message handler so that not only mailing list messages, but now all messages can be put forward for moderation. The new Moderate Message feature is tightly integrated with the built-in webmail server to provide a dedicated service. This means that messages can be moderated without requiring access to the email server control Console, or requiring any technical ability. The moderator has a direct view onto the messages that are awaiting moderation. There is an easy to use ‘Approve’ button that requires no technical experience to use.
"The new Moderate Message is powerful and very useful in a number of common scenarios," said Susan Bunbury, senior Support Analyst for Mailtraq. It was originally created to enable all messages being sent out from an organization to be checked for compliance - essential for financial service companies where strict liability can be an issue.
The powerful filtering control available in 'Moderate Message' means that email monitoring of outbound messaging by certain employees is much easier. The 'Moderate Message system enables the message moderation to take place by any designated system user. The Moderate Message system in the Mailtraq email server software is transparent in use: neither the sender or recipient are aware that the message has been ‘approved’
Moderators get the opportunity to refer a ‘failing’ message back to the sender for amendment, or if more appropriate it can be forwarded to another recipient for resolution.
