New Officers Elected for Speakerpreneur Toastmasters

May 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Thursday, May 10, 2012 was election day for the Speakerpreneur Toastmasters (speakerpreneur.org) organization and we are proud to announce the members of our 2012-2013 executive board. President; William "Bill" Brown, Co-VP of Education Yolanda Johnson-Bryant, Co-VP of Education; Midge Spong,  Vice President of Membership; Terri Booker, Vice President of Public Relations; Chisa D. Pennix-Brown, and Treasurer; Steve Landers. 

Our departing officers include past President; Will Hall, past Treasurer; Susan Harding, and past Sergeant at Arms; Ron McIntosh.  The official transition takes place July 1, 2012.  "We are eagerly, anticipating new members joining and filling the roles of Secretary and Sergeant at Arms," stated VP of Public Relations, Chisa D. Pennix-Brown.   The next meeting will be held on Thursday, May 24, and will include the installation of officers and recognition of new members.  All of our meetings are free to attend and we welcome anyone who is interested in better speaking, better thinking, better listening, and better leading to join us.  

Members of Speakerpreneur Toastmasters have the opportunity to:

♦ Learn and practice techniques of effective public speaking

♦ Prepare and deliver formal speeches on subjects of their own choosing

♦ Give impromptu talks on assigned topics

♦ Gain speaking experience that relates to specific career needs

♦ Sharpen listening and evaluation skills
