Casting Director Sarah Monson Releases Book On How To Get Cast On Reality TV Shows

New book describes how ordinary people can increase their chances of getting cast on reality TV shows.

May 10, 2012 - PRLog -- With more reality TV shows on air than ever before, from game shows, to dating, to talent, to extreme challenges, people in the U.S., Europe and around the world seem to have a growing interest in being on TV. But to actually get the opportunity to participate in a show, you have to pull out all of your tricks to impress the casting team, which isn’t always that easy.

“Through my years casting reality shows like Survivor and The Bachelor, I’ve seen lots of amazing and deserving people fall just short of reaching their dream of getting on a reality show. And it really breaks my heart knowing that with some simple and subtle shifts, they could bring out the best of who they are and blow the casting team away,” says Sarah.

A casting director with more than 10 years experience in the business, Sarah’s career has even taken her to the other side of the camera, by participating in reality TV shows. She is certain that that the tips and tricks revealed in the book were in fact what got her on the shows, and that they can increase people’s chances of getting cast. “I’ve even gotten myself cast on a few reality shows and game shows, including Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and How Do I Look? I’ve tested this stuff and it absolutely works,” Sarah says.

The inspiration behind the book comes from all the people she has met through the years. “Everyone has something special and captivating inside of them, and it’s my goal to help them discover it, so other people will see it too. Then, the sky’s the limit,” she adds.

The book, titled Me On TV: The First Ever Kick-Ass Guide To Get You On Any Reality TV Show, is set to launch on May 8th, 2012, and will initially be available in digital eBook format via http://www.meontvbook.com. An audio book version is planned for release in June, and will be offered to the first 100 buyers for free once it’s available.
