Renowned sushi restaurant opens second location in Encinitas

May 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Encinitas Sushi Lounge (http://www.encinitassushilounge.com/), sister restaurant to Poway Sushi Lounge (http://www.powaysushilounge.com/), announced today it will open its doors to the public on Monday, May 14.  
 

After six years of success in Poway, Co-Owners Katie Rooney and Frank Interlandi will provide coastal patrons with a new dining spot that offers fresh fish daily, an extensive list of beverages and happy hour specials.

 

“Frank and I have worked hard to build and maintain a solid reputation in Poway and given the demographics, the beach is an ideal location for our expansion,” said Katie Rooney, Co-Owner of Encinitas Sushi Lounge. “We’re extremely fortunate to have a great team in place that has the same passion and dedication for providing exceptional sushi and superior customer service as we do.”

 

Open daily from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., the restaurant will offer a wide range of menu items, including sushi rolls, specialty sashimi dishes, combination plates, various entrees and salads. Happy hour will be available Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. In addition, the restaurant will offer 50 percent off wine and sake on Tuesday’s.

 

“Not only will we have a large sushi bar, but we’ll have a bar area that will feature a lot of fun wines, saketini’s, mixed sake drinks and infusions,” said Rooney. “Our guests are definitely in for a treat and we can’t wait to share the experience with them. Cheers!”

 

A recipient of numerous awards, including 10 News’ A-List (http://kgtv.cityvoter.com/poway-sushi-lounge/biz/53818) for three consecutive years, voted Best Sushi (http://www.utsandiego.com/bestof/2010/food-restaurants/su...) by UTSanDiego.com readers in 2010 and Best Sushi on Channel 6 News’ Sushi Wars competition, the owners are excited to welcome back former colleague, John Zamora, who will head the sushi bar alongside Interlandi. Steven Town will join the team as General Manager and Partner of the new location.
