To further boost this new presence, they are also launching a photo caption contest that mixes the digital world with the friendly presence of stopping into your neighborhood Long John’s location. Each of the 34 locations will have a local winner of free meals for one year (one per month), and those winners will be pooled into a larger drawing for a new Apple iPad.
To participate, one must first “Like” their local Long John Silver’s on Facebook, then download or pick up, in person, a printed photo of a goldfish wearing a large shark fin. The entrant will then write their most creative, fun, and original caption, and drop it off at the location.
A panel of Long John’s judges will determine the winners for each location, as well as the grand prize winner. The contest runs from May 4th until June 15th, and the winners will be announced June 25th.
