May 10, 2012 - PRLog --   On Thursday 17th May the Queen will be visiting Warrington to open Orford Park as part of her Diamond Jubilee tour. Cheshire Dog School have been personally asked to represent the dog-owning community of Warrington. They will be operating a have-a-go Agility ring which, after the Queen has seen it, will be open to the general public. There will be a charge of £1 per attempt at the agility course that will apply throughout the day.

Cheshire Dog School’s Ami Sekhon said “This is such a huge honour for us. The have-a-go-agility-ring will be open to invited members of Orford Park dog walkers club whilst the Queen is visiting.  Then - once Her Majesty has left - it will be opened to the general public. We are obviously hoping that some of our own CDS Agility members will pop along at that point and join in the fun!  Just being part of the opening of Orford park would have been fabulous, but being asked to operate the agility ring for Her Majesty in her Diamond Jubilee year makes it so much more special”.

Ami and Mike compete very successfully with their own dogs at agility. Anyone who has seen Ami’s dog little Kiri will know she is a tiny crossbreed and so is proof that any breed and any size of dog can do Agility and do it well. Ami is hoping to have Kiri at the fun session on 17th May.
CDS Agility’s own classes are held close to Orford Park, in a securely fenced paddock which is part of a field at the junction of Orford Road and Birchwood Way, Warrington, WA2 7SS.
Meanwhile the CDS dog obedience training classes are held at Orford Park’s community centre.
