“While we offer our customized routes and our fun runs, we’ve launched these new routes to provide runners with our unique runs on a more frequent basis,” said Michael Gazaleh, president and CEO, City Running Tours. “Now visitors and locals alike have more options to join a group tour and see some new sights while meeting new people. On top of that, we’ve designed these courses so that runners learn something new about each city, even if you’re only running three miles. Each 5K and 10K route provides a unique look at its host city and enable runners to get in their daily run.”
5K and 10K runs are now being offered in all City Running Tours cities: Austin, Boston, Charleston, Chicago, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C. In each city these runs are regularly scheduled with pre-set routes changing weekly and in some instances daily. Group sizes vary, but City Running Tours’ trained guides are on hand to lead and oversee each group. Each route has been meticulously designed to emphasize a theme that will educate and leave a lasting impression.
“We have been testing these 5K and 10K routes in Chicago for some time now, and they have received great feedback,” said Michael Gazaleh. “They were actually the brainchild of our Chicago city manager, Marlin Keesler, but they fit so well with all of our cities we wanted to roll them out in all cities for all of our customers. So far the response has been overwhelmingly positive."
Prices and routes vary in each city, and leave from different starting points at varying times. Interested runners should consult the City Running Tours website (www.cityrunningtours.com) for the full schedule of 5K and 10K runs for each city.
