Follow on Google News | ITVfest 2012 Moves to Downtown LA - Launches PopConLAITVfest/The International Television Festival, is pleased to announce a move to downtown LA in 2012, signing a lease at the LA Convention Center. ITVfest will also launch and host the 1st Annual 'Pop Con LA', the Popular Culture Convention.
By: ITVfest Also being announced, the owners of ITVfest will launch and host the 1st Annual 'Pop Con LA', the Popular Culture Convention, which will run concurrently withITVfest in the same venue. The combined ITVfest&PopConLA events will run from July 5-8, 2012. The International Television Festival is the premiere festival in the world for independently produced TV pilots, Web Series and Digital Features, in both live-action and animated mediums. PopConLA was designed & created to be about ‘All Things Popular Culture’, and so will incorporate elements of: Art, Fashion, Design, Celebrity, Comic Books, Music & more. “We are pleased to be making two major moves in 2012, launching PopConLA, and bringing both PopCon & ITVfest to downtown LA,” said Co-Executive Director, Ken Nicholas. He continued, “To that end, we also see an opportunity to bring in public audiences that wouldn’t normally the see works being screened at a tv/film festival, by cross-promotions and joint events. If successful, this would be an added benefit to those chosen as ITVfest Official Selections.” Co-Executive Director, Frank Zanca, said, “We are very excited about expanding into the Convention Center and making ITVfest the anchor for PopConLA. This will allow a larger viewership for our filmmakers' work as well as bringing a larger awareness to the Festival.” Visions Media, a Florida-based company, is the managing firm that controls ownership of ITVfest, having acquired rights in 2010. # # Visions Media: A new media company co-owned by Frank Zanca and Ken Nicholas.
