The Americana Collection represents a new concept and direction for the Middleboro-based facility, and there is a brand new separate showroom that has been constructed to promote The Americana Collection.
For the family seeking to upgrade their kitchen but who are somewhat mindful of budgets, The Americana Collection seeks to address that middle-market need, offering complete packages in the $6,000 to $15,000 range.
Tim Holick, President/CEO of Wood Palace Kitchens, said that this new showroom and concept has been on the drawing board for some time, and that his market research has shown a growing need for a mid-price cabinetry solution. In many ways, he said, the concept grew out of the challenges associated with the recession. “The last few years have been very difficult for so many people, with this sagging economy. When people are less likely to sell and move due to a slow real estate market, one popular alternative is to invest in home improvements.”
He added, “We have worked to create a line that offers that same commitment to quality that has been our trademark for three decades, but also one that reflects the realities of our economy today.” He said, “It was important for us to make the distinction, in creating this line, between something that is affordable but of high, long-lasting quality. We have sought to introduce a more economical line to our existing inventory but these products still carry our lifetime warranty on our craftsmanship.”
The Americana Collection offers cabinetry created from cherry, oak and maple, laminate, and is priced for customers who seek to invest somewhere between $6000 and $15,000 in cabinets for their kitchen remodel project.
Holick noted, “We derived the name The Americana Collection, because we wanted to create something that reflects the American values that have made this nation great. These are traditional cabinets that are American made, embodying hard work and uncompromising commitment to quality.” He added, “We know that many people have wanted to make improvements to their homes, particularly in a time when more people are choosing to remain longer in their residences, but have hesitated to go forward because of the uncertainty of the economy. We believe that The Americana Collection addresses this particular niche market.”
The Wood Palace Kitchens team has invested more than $50,000 to create The Americana Collection. They have built out a 1,000 square foot space in their Middleboro facility to create a separate Americana Collection showroom. As someone with extensive experience in building cabinets himself, Holick said, “This is a first-rate cabinet collection that we believe should do very well in today’s cost-conscious market. It is important to us to emphasize to people that despite a lower price the quality of this collection is superior.” “Our whole focus is to help guide our clients to make a better buying decision and to help them achieve a kitchen in their price range.” Wood Palace Kitchens plans to host a number of events over the next year to showcase their new product line.
About Wood Palace Kitchens
Wood Palace Kitchens (www.woodpalacekitchens.com)
Wood Palace Kitchens was founded in 1979 by Tim Holick, a former woodworking student and teacher, who began the business as a home-based operation that built customized cabinets for the local market. Over a number of years, he has transitioned Wood Palace Kitchens from a manufacturing concern to one that is a distributor, representing select manufacturers and providing turn-key services for customers, including design, installation and maintenance. Wood Palace Kitchens today has seven full-time employees, and a 5,000 square foot showroom in Middleboro. In 2009 Wood Palace Kitchens acquired a second company, Cornerstone Granite and Marble, originally located in Raynham, MA, adding granite countertops to its menu of services and products. CEO Tim Holick plans to open additional showrooms for both cabinets and granite in the region over the next several years and plans the launch of a new cabinet division as well. The company has a consistent, ongoing relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, providing a portion of each sale to that foundation. Wood Palace Kitchens hosts ongoing events at its showroom, located at 7 Mill Road, Middleboro, MA.
