The mobile app is a unique way to find random fun anywhere in the world. Based on the Original Zufall Kit (which consisted of two dice; one directional and one numbered), app users can roll the dice to determine which direction to go and how far. Whether they are looking for a new place for lunch, a fun date idea or a weekend away, Android phone users can now do it digitally.
The Zufall Adventures app features the ‘Quick Roll’ which calculates distance in blocks making it ideal for short adventures close by (like lunch, dinner or a walk). The app also provides a totally customizable adventure option with ‘Super Zufall’. Super Zufall allows the user to set the type of adventure they are looking for (shopping, dining, exploring, etc), identify their mode of transportation (foot, bike, car), and determine the furthest they are willing to go (either in distance or travel time). One shake of the dice and the app calculates their general destination (known as the Zufall Zone) on a GPS enabled map. The map tracks their travel and lets them know when they have entered the zone. Once in the zone, users can tap the POI button to see points of interest and businesses in the area. After the adventure is complete, users can share their experience with a photo on Facebook or Twitter directly from the app.
The Android version of the Zufall Adventures App has one unique feature. Only on the Android version can users share their phone photos directly from the app on Facebook, Twitter or the ZufallAdventures community page. This Android-exclusive feature gives the user a visual and fun way to share adventures by chance with friends.
The dice are a fabulous way to inject spontaneity into date night and conveniently take care of that date-destroying question, ‘what do you want to do?’ And, nobody is to blame if the dice decide. Rolling the dice and leaving the destination to chance is great for travelers exploring a new city or finding their next place to go. For those trying to stay present in their lives, Zufall helps to keep the focus on the experiences right in front of you because without knowing exactly where you are going, there can be no expectations or, for that matter, no regret about making the wrong decision.
About Zufall Adventures
Zufall creators, Tim Wohlberg and Valerie McTavish have been rolling the dice since their very first date and have never looked back. The dice have lead to them traveling around the world, exploring strange and not so strange cities, and escaping without having to make a plan. They’ve avoided fights over where to go, found spontaneous fun and even bought a house – all thanks to the roll of the Zufall dice.
