Managing the process of creating what customers want is obviously extremely crucial if you have ambitions for growing your company to a leading market position, says Hans Peter Bech, Group CEO of TBK Consult. The need for a structured and transparent product management function increases when your organisation grows and you take on a larger number of external stakeholders, with whom you need to coordinate the effort.
The new SPM Audit service will help all types of software driven companies identify opportunities for improving their product management processes. The outcome should be more revenue, less operating cost and less internal friction between the various stakeholders in the internal and external organization.
The initiative to develop the SPM Audit was taken after having experienced a high demand for SPM training and certification in the Danish software market. Two training seminars based on a curriculum provided by the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA) were conducted in spring 2012 in Copenhagen.
The Audits will be performed by Hans-Bernd Kittlaus, previously responsible for software product management with IBM, founding member of the ISPMA and author of the book “Software Product Management and Pricing”.
