Jaipur : It is now becomes history that the tourism season in Jaipur is for October to March. The hotel industry is rendering the different statistics. A survey of "Hotel Price Index" presents a new statistics, according to which, the average tariff of the hotels of Jaipur, Bangalore, Goa, Mumbai, Mysore and Manali increased 19 percent in year 2011 in comparison of year 2010. This is due to all the 365 days room bookings of hotels at popular tourism destinations of India. This statistics tells that the tourism season in Pink City Jaipur continues round the year.
The survey of "Hotel Price Index" says that the domestic and foreign tourists now visit Jaipur round the year because Jaipur is one vertex of Golden Triangle of Indian tourism and it has now a world heritage site Jantar-Mantar. This is the reason that the rooms of the hotels in Jaipur become full round the year. Hence, the "off season discounts" are now no more in the hotels of Jaipur. On the contrary, now the tariff of hotels in Jaipur increased by 13 percent in comparison of last year.
The same pattern in the tariffs of hotels is been observed in other popular destinations of India. According to the survey, approximately 9 percent hike in tariff of hotels in Delhi has been observed, while 3 percent increment in Mumbai, 5 percent increment in Bangalore, 19 percent (highest) increment in Mysore, 12 percent increment in Goa and 9 percent increment in the hotels of Manali registered in comparison of last year.
Only time will tell us whether the increased tariff of hotels in Jaipur will affect Jaipur tourism or not.
