15 Wineries/Merchants and 15 Restaurants/Caterers at May 20 Conejo Wine & Jazz Fest

Wine and food lovers will enjoy tastings from 15 wineries and wine merchants plus sample gourmet food from 15 restaurants and caterers during the Conejo Wine & Jazz Fest set for Sunday, May 20 in Thousand Oaks.

 
PRLog - May 8, 2012 - THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- Thousand Oaks, Calif.--Wine and food lovers will  enjoy tastings from 15 wineries and wine merchants plus sample gourmet food from 15 restaurants and caterers during the Conejo Wine & Jazz Fest set for Sunday, May 20 at Conejo Creek Park, North (1379 East Janss Road) in Thousand Oaks.  Presented by the Rotary Club of Westlake Village Sunrise, proceeds support high school music programs in the Conejo Valley.

   The 15 wineries/merchants pouring at the festival are Opolo Vineyards,Cielo Malibu Estate Wineyard/The SIP,  Magnavino Cellars, Consensio Cellars, Herzog Wine Cellars, Vines of the Marycrest, Roxo Port Cellars, Millesime Cellar, Total Wine & More, Labyrinth, Bean Crazy, J Hamilton Wines, ONEHOPE Wine, ViñAlegre Wines and Rancho Ventavo Cellars.

   The 15 restaurants and caterers offering samplings of their gourmet cuisine are DJ's California Catering, La Cucina di Venti, Vom Fass, Don's Smokin' Salmon, Pookie's Thai, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, I Would Rather Be Baking, Mermaid Tavern, Robeks Juice, Maddy's Market, The Sugar Lab, Sprouts, Jinky's Cafe, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Kind Healthy Snacks
 .

   "The Conejo Valley is fortunate to have a growing number of premium wineries and food caterers in the area," says Jim Eckley, the Rotary's festival chair. "It makes for a perfect location for a festival of this kind."

   Performing live sets throughout the afternoon are keyboard artist and composer Tim Heintz, jazz aficionado Matt Harris, Cuban-born percussionist Luis Conte and vocalist/keyboardist "Mighty" Mo Rodgers, and the Matt Finders Septet. Jazz singer Karen Harper will be joining Tim Heintz on stage.

   Festival sponsors include Silver Star Automotive Group, Forrest Properties, Community West Bank, The Moerler Group/Keller Williams, KonoSocial, Smith & Wooton, LLP, Investor's Advantage Corporation, United Capital, Planned Estate Services, Lifestyles Interior Design and Construction, Hub International, GBS Financial Corporation, NowPos, Coalition for Family Harmony, Peacemaking Mediation, DB&R Marketing, RMS Direct, The Napa Tavern, Costco, Broadview Mortgage, Guitar Center, and Vinyl Concepts.

    Festival hours are from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person ($75 VIP tickets include VIP parking, one hour early admission and reserved seating near the performance stage).
