By: Twin Cities Community Hospital According to the American Nurses Association, National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6 (also known as National Nurses Day) through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. The American Hospital Association explains that National Hospital Week, the nation’s largest health care event, is a celebration of the history, technology and dedicated professionals that make its facilities beacons of confidence and care. Twin Cities Community Hospital will honor these national events by applauding its staff for its continued dedication to excellent health care service. “We’re pleased to recognize each of our staff members for the difference they make in the lives of our patients and their families every day,” says Rick Lyons, CEO of Twin Cities Community Hospital. “Their dedication to serving the needs of our patients and to providing high quality care makes me very proud to be part of this wonderful team,” said Lyons. The hospital has grown from 84 beds with just over 300 employees, to 122 beds, over 530 employees and over 200 physicians on staff, in the past five years.
