Golf Pro Wally Armstrong to Speak at Annual Tampa Bay Leadership Prayer Breakfast on May 15

May 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Tampa, FL May 8, 2012 – Now celebrating its 41st year, the Tampa Bay Leadership Prayer Breakfast welcomes Wally Armstrong to the Tampa Convention Center on May 15, 2012. Doors open at 6:30 a.m. for the breakfast buffet with the program beginning at 7:00 a.m. and finishing at 8:15 a.m.  In addition, Al Ruechel from Bay News 9 will be the special guest emcee for this year’s event.

A PGA member since 1974, Wally Armstrong has competed in more than 300 PGA Tour events. In his first Masters, he finished fifth, setting a rookie record score of 8 under par. Because of his exceptionally consistent record, he was awarded a lifetime membership to the PGA Tour and today has become widely known as a top golf instructor.

Sponsored by CBMC (Christian Businessmen Connections), a national organization focused on discipleship and leadership, the breakfast has been celebrated in Tampa since Dick Greco’s first term as Mayor in 1971, then known as the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. More recently it has been renamed the Tampa Bay Leadership Prayer Breakfast to better reflect our community and our outreach efforts to encompass the entire Tampa Bay metro area.  Past speakers have included Coach Joe Gibbs, Luis Palau, Wayne Huizenga, Jr., John Sykes, and Truett Cathy.
