The film has been hotly tipped by international media with IGN calling it “The most incredible action and fighting movie in decades” and Shortlist deeming The Raid “2012’s best action film”. The film is expected to be a cult hit and fans of this genre and Gareth Evans can get to see the film a day earlier than its national release, plus get up close and personal with the man himself.
The Raid is an Indonesian martial arts action film that tells the story of a mission that goes wrong for a SWAT team attempting to remove a notorious drug baron from a tenement block he’s turned into his own private fortress.
Trapped in a building that’s swarming with violent killer’s intent on making them most unwelcome, they are forced to fight their way through every floor to survive. The film starts Indonesian martial arts champion Iko Uwais.
