- May 8, 2012 - CARLISLE, Pa. --
Stars and cars, that has become the theme as of late for the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals. This year, more than 2,100 cars of Mopar’s best will converge on the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds for a one-of-a-kind weekend. The event, July 6-8, will not only serve as a great wrap to an elongated 4th of July celebration with stars like Catherine Bach, Ben Jones and Richard Petty, but it will serve as a forum to give away a spectacular HEMI engine.
The HEMI up for grabs, a 392 Stroker 5.7, is the perfect piece for any Mopar and is made possible in part by Muscle Motors and Mopar Muscle Magazine with additional support from Manley, Comp Cams and Milodon. This particular engine will come complete with a carburetor and comes with the MSD ignition controller for spark distribution. All the winner will have to do is run fuel to the carburetor and power to the MSD box and GO. Simple enough, right? Finally, the 392 Stroker will be built to provide more than the standard 400 horses.
“The third generation HEMIs are great engines right from Chrysler but the factory doesn’t offer one with this kind of power in a production car…yet,” noted event manager Ed Buczeskie. “What’
s great about this engine is that it can be used in a variety of Mopar vehicles. It comes with the carburetor and MSD controller to drop it into any musclecar or you can install your EFI set up and put it in one of Chrysler’s modern muscle offerings or Ram truck.”
Attendance is not required to win the car and no additional purchase is necessary. Hopeful winners may sign up on site via one of many kiosks located within the new Guest Services building during Carlisle Chrysler Nationals or online via www.CarlisleEvents.com/
