May 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Fugro is running a free technical seminar highlighting the latest advances in surveying for improved planning, design, maintenance and renewal of rail infrastructure.
Aimed at rail engineers, asset managers and infrastructure owners, the one-day seminar takes place May 29, 2012 in Birmingham.
Delegates will learn how a broad range of survey techniques can be integrated to provide a better understanding of the surface and subsurface condition of assets including track, earthworks and structures. Fugro experts will explain the benefits of a ‘top down’ approach using satellite and airborne remote sensing, land-based monitoring, spatial, geophysical and geotechnical surveys.
Presenters will describe the key technologies and provide case studies demonstrating the potential and pitfalls of different survey approaches.
