greeNEWit CCO To Sit on OPOWER Social Panel at Day of Foster.ly Event

May 8, 2012 - PRLog -- ARLINGTON, VA  – Recently recognized at the White House for contributions to the nation’s economy and entrepreneurship, greeNEWit Chief Communication Officer Jason Jannati will sit on the panel for Social Good Companies with OPOWER at the Day of Foster.ly event at 3:15 p.m. on May 12th at Artisphere, 1101 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA.

“I’m excited greeNEWit is seen as a social good company because one of our main objectives is to further social and environmental goals,” Jannati said.  “As social entrepreneurs, we recognize a problem and use entrepreneurial principles to organize, create and manage a project to achieve social change.”

Described as one of the fastest growing entrepreneurship communities in the region, Foster.ly is hosting the event and expects nearly 1,000 entrepreneurs to attend from Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.

With access to the entire facility, the day will have several components including a Study Hall for developers and designers, an entrepreneurship resource expo, a party at night, movie screenings and much more. Following the day’s activities will be access to an evening of excitement. Two Car Living Room, a classic rock, blues and pop band comprised of local entrepreneurs Jonathan Aberman, Paul Alvaran, Eric Fahr, Jennifer Trax and Ted Whitehead will perform. They will be followed by two of the best DJs in the greater Washington, DC area, FatbackDC DJs Philippe and Steven.
