Reno’s first children’s novel, The Secret Portal, was originally published in print through BeWrite Books in 2002. This was closely followed up with the sequel title ‘The Vampires Returns’ in 2003. Both books have received excellent reviews and helped Reno establish a worldwide fan base of both adult and children readers.
When she isn't writing gripping fantasy novels, Reno works as a professional content writer for websites, magazines and other media clients around the world. She has always enjoyed writing children’s fantasy novels, however the advent of ebook self publishing has given Reno the opportunity to take full control of the distribution of her next title, ‘The Sceptre of Zanafiar’.

Reno's latest title is certainly a page-turner, taking readers to the heart of Zanafiar (pronounced zan-a-fear), a very small world made up of three main continents: Malborious, Thalrak and Parthras. The novel centres upon the character William Dolman, who has spent most of his life in children’s homes feeling like an outsider. However, his life changes when he receives a mysterious parcel – a book with completely blank pages. In an adventure that is filled with excitement yet fraught with danger, William discovers not only a whole new world but also finds himself on a magical journey of self discovery where he learns who he really is and finally discovers his destiny.
Reno was also able to make her previous works available in ebook format thanks to the growing wealth of online self-publishing tools.She stated:
