The degree is offered primarily online and provides technical professionals with an alternative to the traditional research-based master's degree in the sciences or engineering, or to a strictly business-focused MBA.
Called Professional Master of Science and Engineering Management (PMSEM), the 30 credit graduate degree currently offers a fully online Construction Engineering Management Track and a blended Student/advisor - designed track based on student's educational needs and interests. There are also several graduate certificate options (12 credits each) available for those students not interested in a graduate degree. Students can also take courses from the program for professional development.
The PMSEM program is taught by faculty from MSU's College of Business, College of Engineering and College of Letters and Sciences. The program is offered through Extended University / Montana State Online.
Courses begin in August 2012 and students can enroll in the program now.
