With a population of 30 million, Peru is the fourth largest country in South America and is fast emerging as an attractive Nearshore center for software services, spurred by the country’s focus on education, public safety and economic stability as well as its free trade agreement with the US.  Lima, the country’s capital city (population of 8.5 million), is highly cosmopolitan thanks to its blend of Peruvian ethnicities and Arab, European, and Asian immigrant influences.
