May 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Parameter Generation & Control is expanding its headquarters and manufacturing facility by 40 percent to accommodate new employees and to meet increased client demand for its innovative and energy-efficient humidity- and temperature-controlled storage equipment.

Parameter Generation & Control is an internationally respected innovator and manufacturer of precise stability storage products, and a provider of contract stability storage. Known for their dependability, Parameter products continually surpass industry expectations with their technologically advanced energy conservation.

Parameter now employs a workforce of 44 people – more than double the 20 employees on its payroll in 2009 – as it responds to growing international demand for its temperature- and humidity-controlled chambers, rooms, conditioners and large capacity laboratory baths.

The company also provides state-of-the-art, off-site contract stability storage rooms and chambers, as well as complete laboratory, equipment and facility validation services.

Construction of the 7,500-square-foot addition to Parameter’s existing 18,000-square-foot headquarters and manufacturing facility will begin the week of May 14. The facility should be completed and fully functional by October.

The new construction represents a 42-percent increase in Parameter’s physical footprint, said Clay Hile, president and CEO.

“Everyone involved in the development and manufacturing of Parameter products has felt somewhat hampered by our facility size for a while now, so it’s very exciting to start building space that will let us move freely again,” he said. “The new construction also positions our company to grow both our employee base and manufacturing capabilities in the future.”

The new building will result in better-designed space for Parameter’s research and development and testing departments, allowing them to function more efficiently, Hile said. It also will provide much-needed storage space for Parameter’s component and parts inventories.

At the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., Parameter units are protecting the Gutenberg Bible, the Giant Bible of Mainz, and the Gettysburg address. The Library of Congress is both the nation’s oldest federal cultural institution and the largest library in the world.

Respected for its technical expertise, regulatory compliance insight and practical hands-on operational knowledge, Parameter provides products to multiple industries, including pharmaceutical, electronic, semiconductor, packaging (TAPPI) and textiles.

In addition to manufacturing individual units for sale, Parameter leases stability storage through Parameter Stability Storage, a cGMP facility located in Wilson, N.C. The facility stores products that require environmental conditions specified by the International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH). Its storage rooms and chambers have been mapped and validated for U.S. Food and Drug Administration-mandated long- and short-term shelf-life studies under various temperature and humidity requirements.

Parameter supports the superior craftsmanship of its products with readily accessible and knowledgeable customer-service experts. The company is headquartered in Black Mountain, N.C.
