Thompson comes to Go Local with 15 years online marketing and client service experience. Prior to joining Go Local, he served as Senior Manager of Online Communications at Dex One, where he helped spearhead the strategy, creation, and management of the company’s web presence and online content.

The hiring of Thompson will help Go Local focus on expansion in the online, mobile, and social presence of its current client base, many of whom have yet to fully embrace a complete online marketing strategy. Thompson’s role as agency director is crucial in leading clients to capitalize on opportunities of growth within local search.
An additional hire, Jon Legler, also recently joined the Go Local team as Manager of Interactive Media. Jon’s role is to head the search engine marketing strategy for Go Local’s growing client base. Legler most recently worked at Barkley, another Kansas City agency, where he was an SEM specialist.
