Free South Shore Triathlon Training For Community Members

Serving Chicago's Southeast Side -- South Shore, Hyde Park, Woodlawn, Kenwood

May 8, 2012 - PRLog -- CHICAGO, IL, May 7,  2012 — Stress, time constraints and the ready availability of unhealthy food leave many Americans frustrated in their desire to lead fit, healthy lives. Nowhere is that frustration more prevalent than among older adults, and nowhere is the desire to increase fitness more prevalent than among that population.

Recognizing the physical challenges that older adults often face, Functional Sports and Fitness, Inc is  launching Fit for the Competition, a program designed to help members of the community who are 40 plus and are planning to compete in the South Shore Triathlon train for the competition. Participants will be chosen from among applicants who write a 300 -500 word essay describing why working with a trainer would be helpful to them and how they intend to use the training after they complete the triathlon.

Five people will be chosen from among the applicants. Each applicant who completes the entire triathlon will also receive a package of 6 complimentary personal training sessions, and we will continue to highlight their achievements on our Web site (http://www.fsftraining.com) and offer them reduced rate training.
