CORVIN - Budapest district VIII. - The old-new city center!

The 8th district development "Corvin Udvar" is the neighbor of one of the largest developments in the immediate vicinity. TRANSPORT AND ACCOMMODATION
Both the city center and the outer districts can be reached by car within 10 to 15 minutes, thanks to the excellent road network. Everything is reachable within a very short period of time, just by walking or using public transportation: 5 minutes from Deák tér, Blaha Lujza tér and within 10 minutes you can reach the western railway station as well. For the Corvin Udvar residents it’s worth to choose public transport. It’s so simple and easy to reach many points of the city during rush hour, without the discomfort of having to wait.


NEARBY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
- M3 metro: “Ferenc körút” stop (which will be a renovated subway)
- Tram stops 4 and 6, “Üllöi” (the renovated Combino tram stops that allow the modern, fast and convenient transport for the elderly, pregnant woman and the disabled as well)
- The M4 Rákóczi Square subway stop (that is being built) is a few minutes walk or 2 stops by tram, from the building.
- With the night bus you will come home safely even late at night, as the night bus nearly stops at the front of the building.


WALK AROUND
The population of this area started in the 17th century. The contemporary artisans, writers, artists lived here in Budapest. The then prevailing house types, clay-storey buildings, where largely destroyed by the flood in 1838. This area was highly affected by the reconstruction that started in the year 1872, which was then modeled to the Paris and Vienna ring-road system.

A quarter of the current buildings are to be saved, mostly these are historic buildings that will be renovated, the ruined houses are demolished and new ones will be built in there place. In the “old-new” city center, you can find several kindergartens, a primary school and a myriad of entertainment and recreation facilities. The important district offices and health care institutions are also located in the neighborhood, next to the Corvin Shopping mall which is just approximately 50 meters from the development project Corvin Udvar.

The newly built apartments are also ideal for college and university students, as a large part of the higher education institutions are just a quarter of an hour away (BME, ELTE, Semmelweis University, Budapest Tech, BCE, Catholic University, AVF).


THE DEVELOPMENT: CORVIN UDV AR
Práter utca (Práter street), and the Nap utca (Nap street) are one-way streets, so too much traffic is not really expected. The “Ferenc körút” tram and bus stops are just a few minutes walking distance, yet far enough from the building to stop the noise of vehicles, and the constant presence of passing traffic does not disturb residents living in the building.

The border between the two separated buildings is a wooded street, and will be surrounded by a beautiful inner courtyard. The ground floor shops and offices are created to serve the residents. The building has three staircases (which are wheelchair friendly), an elevator and the two wings are linked together by glass bridges on each floor.
