13th Annual Fashion Show, Exhibition & Youth Fest 2012 Learning Institute For Styles & Arts

May 5, 2012 - PRLog -- New Delhi, April 21, 2012: Learning Institute for Styles & Arts held ‘THE LIFESTYLE SYMPOSIUM’ - its 13th Annual Fashion Show, Exhibition and Youth Fest’12 on April 21, 2012 at NCUI Auditorium, August Kranti Marg, New Delhi. The event rewarded the young budding designers successfully presenting their talent at the Fashion Show taking the term ‘fashion’ to a new paramount.

The event started with an exhibition featuring portfolios by Fashion and Interior designing students. Each display depicted different themes. The Interior Design students exhibited an array of furniture pieces and accessories carefully designed under the theme- “The Future Designer”. The students had also worked on the essence of “Vastu”. Efficient and effective presentation made the legendary science of Vastu easy to relate to and also to apply in day to day life. The students also showcased their portfolios and projects and were also judged through a Design Competition for the Master’s Degree enrolled students. These innovative products not only helped achieve the purpose of the exhibition but also promoted their talent as designers and the students got a chance to experience the nitigrities of production.

The Mega Fashion Show started soon after. The Fashion Show was a beautiful depiction of different aspects of human. It was a collection of colorful and creative performances on various themes like ‘The Plume’ - colorful outburst in trendy and flamboyant styles and cuts, ‘The Devil in me’- The dark and bold side of the human nature, ‘Peek a boo’- The lifestyle of the genre with hidden and shown off life in cut work and lace, ’The Indian mosaic ‘- Indian embroideries and traditional prints and motifs, ‘Juxtapose’- Orange and Black combination gowns amongst others. Concluded by ‘Panache’ the bold and sensual mermaid collection with hand painted motifs.

Mrs. Malik, elated to see the performance quoted, “It’s always a pleasure to see my student’s creative work and this time they have done exceptionally well. I am delighted to see them portray the woman of today and I wish them all the luck and success for their future ventures.”

The second part of the show was a blend with the youth of today and was a fest which included Inter college Fashion show where teams showcased their creative attributes in Fusion wear and open sequences (sequence created on a self developed theme). The awards for the fest were facilitated by the guests.

The Fashion Show, Exhibition and the Fest showcased a richly colored Fiesta. The show was a pure portrayer of team work and showcased creativity at its paramount.
