May 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Cyndie Koopsen, RN, MBA, HNB-BC, RN-BC, Co-CEO of ALLEGRA Learning Solutions will be presenting a morning workshop at the American Holistic Nurses Association’s 32nd Annual “Catalysts for Conscious Change” Conference in Snowbird, UT, on June 12, 2012.

Healthy environments are powerful tools that support the healing of health care providers as well as clients. Awareness, interventions, guidelines, architectural features, and design elements support the individual’s inner healer and allow health care providers to utilize various levels of these environments to maximize the delivery of care in a holistic manner.

This unique workshop provides health care professionals with an overview of the three levels of healing environments, examines the historical evolution of healing spaces, describes the elements of healthy environments, and discusses methods for incorporating healing environmental practices into personal and professional lives.

Cyndie states, “I am excited about the opportunity to speak at the conference. The workshop I am presenting “People, Places, and Purpose—The Impact of Healing Environments on Health” focuses on the importance of creating healing environments on three main levels: at the individual level, between people, and at the physical level as it relates to architecture, design, color, etc. Healing environments are a crucial focus in health care today and are essential if health care providers and patients alike are to effectively support or enhance their health. Health care organizations utilize natural resources at a much higher rate than other organizations and are a major source of environmental pollution in their community. Becoming a healing environment means a hospital or clinic has committed to supporting the health of their community as well as their staff and patients. Everyone benefits.”

The purpose of this conference is to “empower holistic nurses and other interested professionals to transform their knowledge and passion into purposeful, conscious intentional action for the highest good of humanity and the plant.” Contact hours will be awarded for the workshop.
