Los Angeles, CA, May 4, 2012 — Wells Fargo joins the fight against pancreatic cancer as the presenting sponsor for the 15th Annual LA Cancer Challenge on October 28th, 2012 at the VA Grounds in Westwood, CA.

“We’re very excited for this opportunity,” said Lindsay Seymour, Marketing Consultant with Wells Fargo, who is a first-time presenting sponsor for the Halloween themed LA Cancer Challenge 5/10K run/walk and Kids Can Cure Fun Run.  

The LA Cancer Challenge is the largest yearly fundraiser for the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research’s Seed Grant program, which funds preliminary research to improve current therapies and to develop new treatments for pancreatic cancer.  

The Hirshberg Foundation and the LA Cancer Challenge are honored that Wells Fargo has joined in partnership to raise pancreatic cancer awareness as a presenting sponsor for the 15th Annual race.

Now in its 15th year, the LA Cancer Challenge (LACC) 5/10K run/walk raises money to fund innovative pancreatic cancer research.  Held the last Sunday in October, the LACC’s Halloween theme brings together diverse members of the greater Los Angeles community, many who have been touched by pancreatic cancer.   To date the LACC has raised over $3.75 million dollars to support the Seed Grant Program, which funds innovative and promising initial pancreatic cancer research efforts.
