This is the best tablet for its price and ability. I Got this Tablet for my birthday and have had this tablet since it came out on Amazon. It is a great tablet at a amazing price. I take it everywhere. It is like my baby I never leave the house without it and its always by my side. The Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 is Awesome.
All it took was one time to hook up WiFi and it was on without no problems and stays connected. Even though its only got a few bars sometimes it still works Great. I think its Better then the Kindle Fire but that’s my opinion.
It is a great product and is fast. I do recommend this device to anyone that wants %100 Satisfaction. It is about the same size as Samsung Galaxy plus and fits some same cases/covers. This Device is AWESOME !

In reviewing my Galaxy Tab 2 I compare it to my iPad 2, which is less than a year old, because like it or not, iPad is the gold standard of tablets. I was actually going to wait for the 2nd generation Kindle in hopes that it would include a memory card slot. It didn’t take long to fill up 16GB on my iPad so I wasn’t going to downgrade when I got a 7″ device. But I have to thank Amazon for setting the price bar for 7″ devices to a more affordable level. At $249 for a tablet with 8GB and memory card up to 32GB, on a 2nd generation device, the Galaxy Tab 2 is the best buy out there right now.

The Tab 2 is slightly thicker than the iPad2, which, being 2nd generation, disappointed me. But at 7″ in size, it was still light weigh and didn’t bother me a lot. Like the iPad, the Tab 2 starts immediately. I found my finger does not slide across the screen on the Tab as smoothly as on the iPad. Finger prints are also a lot more difficult to wipe off on the Tab. Scrolling on the iPad is also a smooth fluid motion where the Tab 2 is a jerky movement. However, if you’ve never seen a iPad, I doubt you’d notice. Where Samsung succeeds is in just offering 7″ as an option. Steve Jobs was wrong when he said no one would want a 7″ tablet. I find myself using it more than the full size iPad. The Android store is also easier to search than the iTunes store, which brings up so many Asian language apps that I waste a lot of time trying to find things. But one of the best things about the Galaxy Tab is that it is a standalone device. The iPad must be connected to a PC for setup and updates. The Galaxy does not require that. Samsung Kies software is available if you want a PC interface but I was never able to get it to work on the PC or the Kies software for the Tab.

It seems Samsung does not offer mobile broadband with this device, unlike the earlier 7″ Tabs. That’s too bad. I know people who would get one if it did.

As you can see by my 5 start rating, any fault I find with the Tab, doesn’t really bother me a lot. Overall, I think the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 this is the best of the 7″ tablets out there today.
