SportsBettingOnline Releases No-Hitter and Perfect Game Prop Bets

Sports bettors invited to bet on the number of No Hitters and Perfect Games thrown during 2012 MLB season

PRLog - May 4, 2012 - San Jose, Costa Rica. - As major league baseball pitchers toss No-Hitters around like they’re no big deal, sports fans have the chance to see some big money thrown in their direction thanks to one online sportsbook.

SportsBettingOnline.ag is inviting baseball fans to bet on how many No-Hitters and Perfect Games will be thrown during the 2012 MLB season. You can check the odds here:

"The 2012 MLB season is being tagged as another pitcher-friendly season,” stated Dave Johnson, head oddsmaker at SportsBettingOnline. “Through this past Monday, teams averaged 4.16 runs per game, the lowest output since 1992 (4.12), and batted a collective .249, the worst average since 1972 (.244). In addition we have already seen Philip Humber throw a Perfect Game and Jered Weaver throw a No-Hitter. With those type of stats being recorded after the first few weeks, we thought it would be fun to create a No-Hitter market in the sportsbook.”

SportsBettingOnline’s prop bet odds for the number of No-Hitters thrown in the 2012 MLB season are as follows:

2 No-Hitters = +600 (bet $100 to win $600)
3-4 No-Hitters = +100 (bet $100 to win $100)
5-6 No-Hitters = -400 (bet $400 to win $100)
7-8 No-Hitters = +100 (bet $100 to win $100)
9-10 No-Hitters = +1000 (bet $100 to win $1000)
11 or more No Hitters = +1500 (bet $100 to win $1500)

At the time of the market release, there had already been two recorded No-Hitters in 2012. A bet on 2 No-Hitters would win if no other 'No-Hitter' is thrown this season.

The online sportsbook is also inviting sports fans to bet on whether another perfect game will be thrown during the 2012 MLB season. A bet on ‘Yes’ is listed at +2000, meaning a bettor only has to lay down $100 to win $2,000. A bet on ‘No’ is listed at -2500, meaning a bettor must lay down $2,500 to win $100.

To determine the prop bet odds, SportsBettingOnline took into consideration the number of 'No-Hitters' and 'Perfect Games' over the last few seasons, as well as throughout baseball history.

“Odds are now open for registered users of our sportsbook, and we expect to take a large amount of action on both markets. The odds will change as a result throughout the season. The current favorite for total 'No-Hitters' is 4-5 but we expect to take some good action at 6-7 as well. The 'Perfect Game' market allows a bettor to wager on whether there will be another this season. A bet on 'OVER' 1.5 -110 would win if another is thrown before the end of the season.”
