Hannibal Means is an internationally renowned musician, vocalist and teacher. Born and raised in Oakland, CA, he is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships from an early age.
Hannibal flourished as Nina Simone's protege, eventually settling in Vienna, Austria for 25 years singing, teaching and studying with some of the great vocal masters of Europe. In addition to his role as a highly respected voice teacher among the Viennese, he also gives workshops throughout the world, during which he invites participants to discover The Self through experiencing The Voice.
His performance in the prestigious Perth jazz club "The Ellington", the tribute to Nina Simone, will be a one-off performance and certainly a night to remember!
Hannibal Means embraced this special performance with much joy as he is currently touring around the world to conduct voice workshops.
Do you want to bring out your True Voice? No more holding back? Do you want your voice to carry the sounds of your soul, and let every word be a song? If so, Hannibal Means' "Finding Your Authentic Voice" 2-day workshop is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself!
In this workshop in Perth on the 26th & 27th May 2012, the ancient basics of human vocal production are felt and experienced with great passion. With the emphasis on breathing, the essence of both the speaking and singing voices are explored. Hannibal offers strong and compassionate guidance for the participants in applications that are relevant for this day and time.
Participants should also be prepared for joy, laughter, and tears as they discover the sounds of their true voices, both individually and collectively. Once discovered, this true voice carries forth its expansion throughout all aspects of one's life, bringing forth profound transformations.
