Dentist Launches Website Dedicated To Dentures

Some people still think of Anchorage dentures as something that only older individuals need, but people of all ages who have lost teeth due to illness or injury wear dentures.  While it once took a wait of some weeks or months between having teeth extracted, and being fitted with dentures, in recent years 24 hour dentures have been able to provide an immediate replacement for natural teeth, and can work well for many people.

The dental plates themselves act as a sort of bandage after the extractions so the patient does not need to change gauze, and this will usually enable it heal faster.  Most patients not only walk out of the office with a full set of new teeth, but can drink beverages and eat soft foods with their new teeth even on the first day.    The 24 hour dentures are worn almost constantly for several days since the gums will be swollen, and they act to protect the gums as the gums heal.  While their mouth will be tender at first, most people can eat and talk normally within the first few weeks.
